With approximately 40 clients in the New York, Washington DC, and Baltimore metropolitan areas, we are able to bring an unmatched level of expertise to the firms we serve.  It is our goal to provide architects and designers with a personalized, supportive research environment that is efficient and responsive to their needs.  Here's a look at the services we provide:

• Librarian Services - Our librarians work in Architecture and Design firms as consultants, keeping each library organized and up-to-date.  They meet with manufacturers' Reps to learn about new and existing products, and advise architects and designers on materials, cost, style, and function.  They maintain valuable product catalogs and material samples, and use our on-line database to track all resources in each firm's library.  The specific, daily duties of each librarian will vary, based on the changing needs of the firm.

• Resource Database - Our unique and dynamic on-line database contains manufacturer and local representative information, organized by the industry-standard CSI system.  It has become a critical resource for architects and designers seeking an efficient and consistent tool for researching and specifying building materials and finishes.  Linda Shiner & Associates librarians update the database with new information every day, and it will continue to grow based on our clients' needs.
